Remote Assessments: How to protect your critical infrastructure & personnel

The Persistent Problem with Risk-Assessments:

The SecurityGate.io team has recognized a long-standing issue with cyber-risk assessments: traditional methods are inefficient, high-cost, and often prove ineffective in providing timely value to key stakeholders in the form of digestible and actionable insights. Our company was built upon the premise that there must be a better way.

The latest challenge to risk assessments: Covid-19 & Personnel Safety

Our company motto has always centered around protecting what matters. Considering recent events, this seems more relevant than ever. We need a way to protect our nation’s critical infrastructure and protect the people that run and operate them. If we can both limit the amount of exposure of those personnel and assessors that occurs in the traditional, in-person, and travel-heavy risk assessment process and streamline the process from performing the assessment to obtaining insights, we have a win-win scenario. We protect our people, our infrastructure, and enhance the overall process. Moreover, our process means decreasing the overall cost so that you can put that budget where it matters most.

The SG solution:

We’ve put together a team of former auditors, assessors, subject matter experts, and leaders in the risk-transformation space to build better a solution. Through collaboration among our team, our clients, and trusted industry advisors, we’ve built one of our premier features: The Respondent Portal.

The Respondent Portal is a secure online portal created as a way for risk managers to give limited access to internal and external respondents on a need-to-access basis. As managers go through the process of scheduling risk assessments to key components of their organization, they’re able to assign assessments as well as remediation and validation tasks to key personnel that can take charge remotely.

Once assigned tasks, respondents are given limited access to the SecurityGate.io platform to take action. Upon assignment, managers and respondents can get real-time updates on outstanding tasks and immediate feedback on completed ones.

This eliminates the cumbersome logistics surrounding sending emails and spreadsheets back and forth between stakeholders that often prove difficult and tedious to manage.

On top of this all, we hope that everyone is incorporating social distancing measures in their safety protocols . In a time where preventative measures are critical, we hope that we can help where we can.
